Casa Pacifica’s 6th Annual Yummie Top Chef Dinner was held on Friday evening before the Sunday Festival at CSU Channel Islands. The Dinner – An Elegant Evening at the Garden - featured past Yummie Culinary Competition winners from the Casa Pacifica Angels Wine, Food & Brew Festival. The chefs created a special seven-course dinner for the guests, paired with award-winning wines and 2019’s “Best in Fest” Brew. Retired Ventura County Sheriff Geoff Dean emceed the festivities, and the generous hosts of the Dinner was The Cassar Family. All proceeds from the Yummie Top Chef Dinner directly support Casa Pacifica and their vital programs for foster and at-risk youth.
A tempting live and silent auction during the Dinner included items like luxury vacations, private dining experiences, and high-end wines, among others. Live music also added to “an elegant evening at the garden.”
Casa Pacifica Centers for Children and Families is a crisis-care and residential treatment facility for foster or at-risk children in Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. The agency is the largest non-profit provider of children’s mental health services in both counties and administers a number of community-based programs designed to strengthen families and keep children in their homes and communities. Casa Pacifica is also a foster family agency, which recruits and trains families for potential placement with a foster youth.
