Golf Classic
The Sherwood Country Club Charitable Foundation (referred to as Sherwood Cares) celebrated another successful year of fundraising and giving back to the community. Its “Evening in Italy” Cocktail Party and Dinner and Golf Classic netted over $600,000 that will benefit local charities.
The Golf Classic, also honoring Sherwood members and philanthropists Kessie and Dan Cimino, was held at Sherwood the following week. The 18-hole tournament, played on the spectacular Jack Nicholas-designed Sherwood Country Club course, brought out over 120 golfers. After a great day on the course with food, drinks and massages, the crowd enjoyed watching the Tesoro Real Estate Million Dollar Shootout.
Event Chairperson, Dina Furash, stated, “We are appreciative to our honorees, Kessie and Dan Cimino, for their ongoing commitment to their community and beyond. Following their example, the Sherwood membership showed a generous commitment to strengthening our community by helping our neighbors in need.”
